One in six people experience some degree of hearing loss over their lifetime. That's 50 million Americans, and the number is rising. Our passion is to create a world where everyone who chooses can hear us. We are dedicated to raising awareness of our cause, educating those willing to understand, and supporting those whose lives can be improved through better hearing health.
An advocacy campaign that builds community awareness of accessibility issues for those using hearing devices in conjunction with amplified systems. For millions of Americans using hearing assistive devices, the ability to hear in public facilities is limited. Yet sounds can be made clear by installing a simple and cost effective technology in public buildings and facilities - the induction loop.
An awareness program that focuses on the prevention of noise-induced hearing loss. The program strives to motivate individuals of all ages to take action by understanding the cause and they solutions because damage incurred today can last a lifetime.
A program for non-profit hearing health organizations. This program helps provide financial support for hearing health programs and continuing education for staff serving the hearing health industry.
Sertoma's national event series for hearing health. By allowing us to spread the word beyond the typical hearing health circles, we can raise public awareness and raise funds for our community grants and educational scholarships.
Programs that help high school and college students be active in serving mankind on both a local and national level. The programs help member develop both leadership and social skills, while working together to plan social activities, service projects and fundraisers to benefit their community.
